Full job description

Looking for a motivated, team player to join our growing office.

This position is for an existing vacancy.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct all pre-testing procedures in effective and efficient manner
  • Work closely with the doctor and other associates at the office to deliver productive results
  • Provide World-Class customer experience, aiding customers with their inquiries, as well as retail sales
  • Check patient eligibility
  • Maintain electronic health record systems
  • Answer phones
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Submission of claims through knowledge of Insurances

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years experience in medical setting
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Able to speak clearly and understandably; hear communications by telephone and in person
  • Highly motivated self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strict attention to detail and efficiency
  • Professional demeanor, including dress-code
  • Punctual - must be reliable
  • Ability to maintain highest degree of confidentiality at all times
  • Takes initiative in self-development
  • Performs work in a fashion that others can pick up where left off
  • Fosters and promotes a cohesive team
  • Practicality - applies information available in a sensible way to function in the job

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A two-year degree or equivalent work experience
  • Bilingual is a plus
  • Experience in Optical/Optometry office is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
