Bilingual French Emergency Assistance Case Manager (RN)

Travel Medical Insurance | 24/7 Operations | Full-Time

*Status: Existing Vacancy

When Canadians experience a medical emergency abroad, they need more than insurance — they need calm, capable professionals guiding their care.

We are seeking a clinically trained bilingual French RN to manage medically complex hospitalized cases for travellers outside of Canada. This role blends clinical judgment, case management, and compassionate communication in a fast-paced international assistance environment.

This is a non-bedside role where your medical expertise directly impacts patient safety, recovery, and safe return home.

What You Will Do

· Manage complex admitted and high-acuity international medical cases

· Review and interpret medical records, diagnostics, and treatment plans

· Communicate directly with treating physicians and hospital teams worldwide in both English and French via phone

· Collect, summarize and interpret documentation in English and French

· Monitor medical progress and assess readiness for repatriation to Canada

· Coordinate air ambulance, medical escort, or commercial repatriation when appropriate

· Ensure care and services remain aligned with purchased policy benefits and limitations

· Apply sound clinical judgment to evaluate medical necessity and length of stay

· Provide clear, compassionate communication to clients and their families during stressful situations

· Maintain detailed, defensible documentation

What We’re Looking For

· Clinical training as an RN

· ER experience, hospital in patient or previous medical insurance

· Fluency in English (spoken and written) and French (spoken and written) is required due to the clinical documentation and international communication responsibilities of the role

· Strong understanding of acute care and hospital workflows

· Ability to confidently interpret complex medical documentation

· Calm, decisive, and empathetic communication style

· Highly organized with strong critical thinking skills

· Ability to manage multiple active cases in a dynamic environment

*Schedule Requirement

We are a 24/7 operation. Availability for rotating shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays, is a condition of employment.

Overnight shifts may be introduced as operational needs evolve and may become part of the rotation schedule at a later stage of employment.

*Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $70 000.00 to $85 000.00 per year.

Comprehensive benefits package available (details to be provided during the interview process)

*Recruitment Process Disclosure

Why Join Us?

Meaningful, mission-driven work supporting Canadians during medical emergencies abroad

A structured transition from bedside care into a specialized insurance and assistance role

Supportive team environment

If you are a clinically trained professional who combines strong medical judgment with compassion and clear communication, we would welcome your application.
