We're hiring!

Spokes Bicycle Rentals is the largest bike rental shop in Canada and has been around since 1938. We enhance the outdoor experience that is Stanley Park and Vancouver by bicycle through our commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service.

We are looking for an experienced bike mechanic. At a minimum we are looking for someone who has at least 12 months of working in a professional bike shop. Skills include solid knowledge of advanced bicycle repairs, including E bike systems, hydraulic brakes, and very good over-all mechanical problem solving abilities.

If you can stay calm and organized in a busy environment, are polite and considerate to customers/co-workers, and know your way around a workshop this might be the job for you!

Job Requirements/qualifications:

You will need:

  • A professional level of understanding of bikes and how they work
  • Experience in tuning up different styles of bikes as well as building new bikes
  • Experience with a range of hydraulic brakes, drivetrains, wheels and hubs
  • E bike knowledge an asset
  • Experience using hand tools of all kinds and limited use of power tools
  • General knowledge of Stanley Park and the surrounding area
  • To be tidy, and able to clean up after yourself without being asked
  • A good sense of humor
  • To be fit enough to lift bikes of various styles up and down and sometimes over your head
  • To be willing to lend a hand, if needed, wherever needed

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
