Full job description

Dropbar Cycles, Giant Vancouver and Liv Vancouver are looking for an experienced bicycle service technician to join our busy service team. We are opening this position to work out of our Dropbar Cycles location in Squamish to help with our repairs need across all stores.

We are a high-volume, fast-paced shop that takes pride in delivering excellent service and getting customers back on the road quickly, safely, and with confidence. We need someone who can work efficiently without sacrificing quality, communicate clearly with customers and teammates, and thrive in a professional workshop environment.

If you’re an experienced mechanic who enjoys solving problems, working with modern bike technology, and being part of a strong team culture, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Performing high-quality repairs, tune-ups, and builds on a wide range of bicycles
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electronic shifting systems
  • Bleeding and servicing hydraulic brakes
  • Truing wheels, replacing spokes, and performing wheel-related repairs
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting e-bike systems
  • Ensuring all bikes meet high safety and quality standards before leaving the shop
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
  • Communicating clearly with customers and coworkers about repairs, timelines, and recommendations
  • Managing repair timelines and maintaining productivity during busy periods
  • Supporting the team wherever needed throughout the shop

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous professional bike shop mechanic/service technician experience
  • Strong knowledge of modern bicycle systems and repair techniques
  • Confidence working on:

- Hydraulic brake systems

- Mechanical and electronic drivetrains

- Wheel truing and spoke replacement

- E-bikes and related troubleshooting

  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
  • Ability to stay organized and productive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer-first attitude
  • Positive team player who enjoys working in the cycling industry
