PREMIUM Mountain Rentals is an independently owned ski, snowboard, and bike rental business located in Whistler Village. We are a team of passionate riders and outdoor enthusiasts focused on delivering a high-quality rental and retail experience.

We are currently hiring an experienced Bike Mechanic to join our team for the upcoming season. This is a full-time, hands-on role working on a premium fleet of downhill, enduro, trail, and e-bikes in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary

As a Bike Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing our rental fleet to a high standard, ensuring all bikes are safe, reliable, and ready for daily use. You will also support rental operations, assist guests when needed, and contribute to overall shop efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on a fleet of ~90 rental bikes (DH, enduro, trail, and e-bikes)
  • Complete servicing to a high standard, including drivetrain, brakes, suspension, and wheel work
  • Prepare and organize bikes for upcoming rental bookings
  • Track and manage fleet maintenance and service records
  • Assist with bike setups, fittings, and occasional customer interactions
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workshop environment
  • Support parts ordering and inventory management for service components

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a bike mechanic in a workshop environment
  • Strong knowledge of bike repair and maintenance procedures

Technical Skills:

  • Brake bleeding and servicing (SRAM, Shimano, Tektro)
  • Drivetrain servicing (SRAM, Shimano, MicroShift)
  • Suspension servicing (Fox and RockShox, including lower leg service)
  • Wheel truing, spoke replacement, and wheel builds (preferred)
  • Frame bearing replacement
  • Experience working with brands such as Kona, Scott, Rocky Mountain, and Norco
  • Knowledge of Dyname, Bosch, and Shimano e-bike systems is an asset

Other Requirements:

  • High attention to detail and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Positive attitude and willingness to assist with guest interactions
  • Passion for biking and the outdoor industry

Compensation & Benefits

  • $21–$28 per hour (based on experience)
