Full job description

Join Beacon Community Services as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Parry Place Assisted Living. This is a unique opportunity to join a newly formed team and help shape how care is delivered as the program transitions. In this rewarding role, you’ll provide nursing care, guide and support Health Care Assistants, and play a key part in ensuring residents live with dignity, independence, and comfort in a safe and respectful environment.

Days/Hours of Work:
7:00 am to 3:00 pm, 4 days on, 4 days off. There will be opportunities to pick up additional shifts for vacation and sick coverage.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide nursing care within LPN scope of practice, policies, and Assisted Living regulations.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care plans.
  • Administer and manage medications per BC guidelines.
  • Respond to health changes, urgent care needs, and emergencies.
  • Mentor and support Health Care Assistants in safe care practices.
  • Collaborate with families, physicians, and community health professionals.
  • Maintain accurate records and regulatory compliance.
  • Other duties as required.
What You Bring
  • Completion of a recognized Practical Nursing program.
  • Current registration with the BCCNM in good standing.
  • Experience in assisted living, long-term care, or community health
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work with older adults, including those with dementia.
