JERICHO TENNIS CLUB


Position: Cashier

Department: Clubhouse

Job Type: Regular Seasonal

Salary Range: $22.40 per hour

Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday day/evenings

During your shifts, you will ensure our members enjoy their dining and food ordering experience while at the Club. In this role you will be front facing to our members and representing the Food and Beverage team in our Clubhouse. This role is pivotal in ensuring a smooth and seamless member experience at our facility.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


Show commitment to providing an exceptional club experience to all members, aligned with Jericho Tennis Club values.

Ensure that all Members & guests receive courteous, prompt & professional attention to their needs.

Processing multiple transactions for our food and beverage team in a quick and accurate manner

Maintain a clean and presentable workstation at all times, in line with Club standards.

Ensure Club members are following Club and dining area rules

Accurately process cash transactions and maintain a balanced cash register during busy times.

Deep knowledge of the Club’s menu offerings for both food and drink

Other duties as assigned.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE


Excellent customer focus and orientation

1 to 2 years’ experience in a restaurant or dining environment

Team player with a positive attitude and growth mindset

Knowledge of, or ability to learn cash handling best practices

Flexible availability to workdays, evenings, and weekends

Ability to work for several hours walking, and standing in summer conditions, able to lift 50 pounds.

Food safe certified, up to date, and valid
