Adecco is currently hiring Merchandise & Concessions Sales Associates for Cirque du Soleil. We are seeking enthusiastic, customer-focused individuals with a passion for sales and guest service to help create a memorable experience for visitors.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced live entertainment environment where you'll engage with guests, promote products, and contribute to the overall success of the event.

• Pay Rate: $19.00/hour
  
• Location: Ottawa, ON
  
• Shift: 2 hours prior to the beginning of the show until the second part of the last show. Hours will vary. Until the end of the show | 5 days a week (subject to change according to the show schedule)
  
• Job type: Temporary | Part-time

Responsibilities:

• Have up-sell and sales experience
  
• Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
  
• Collect payments, whether in cash or credit
  
• Redeem coupons
  
• Cross-sell products and introduce new ones
  
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
  
• Greet customers when entering or leaving the merchandise area
  
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout area
  
• Bag, box or gift-wrap packages
  
• Handle merchandise returns and exchanges
  
• Assertive and competent selling of concession products around the front-of-site and inside the big top.
  

Qualifications and Skills:

• Possess the ability to learn a point-of-sale system and retain the information
  
• Be comfortable working in a loud environment
  
• Have a professional, clean appearance
  
• Be physically able to stand up for long hours
  
• Understand customer service and hospitality
  
• Work well with others
  
• Pay attention to the details
  
• Working fast and efficiently under pressure
  
• Have a welcoming and friendly attitude (smile and proper greetings)
  
• Know when to get the help of a supervisor
  
• Availability for the whole city duration
  
• Speak English - other languages are an asset.
  
• Possession of ServeSafe and/or food safety certificates
  
• Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
