Full job description

Vehicle Acquisition Specialist

Join the Team at Jackson's Toyota | Barrie, ON

At Jackson's Toyota, we believe our guests deserve an exceptional experience whether they are buying a vehicle, servicing a vehicle, or selling one to us.

As we continue to grow our Pre-Owned Department, we are looking for a dedicated Vehicle Acquisition Specialist whose sole focus is sourcing and purchasing quality inventory while delivering the experience our customers have come to expect from The Family Store.

This is not a traditional sales position.

Your primary responsibility is to build our pre-owned inventory through service drive opportunities, private acquisitions, and trade appraisals while creating a transparent, professional, and enjoyable experience for every guest.

Your Responsibilities

  • Identify and acquire vehicles directly from customers visiting our Service Department.
  • Work with customers looking to sell their vehicle privately.
  • Support the Sales Team with trade appraisals and vehicle acquisition opportunities.
  • Proactively engage customers with equity, lease maturity, and upgrade opportunities.
  • Build relationships that create repeat business and future acquisition opportunities.
  • Monitor market conditions and vehicle values to identify inventory opportunities.
  • Maintain detailed follow-up and activity tracking within our CRM.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Service, and Leadership teams to achieve inventory and growth targets.

Drive the Experience

At Jackson's Toyota, buying a vehicle from a customer should feel just as professional and transparent as selling one.

Our Vehicle Acquisition Specialist will:

  • Create a simple, transparent, and stress-free selling experience.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently throughout the process.
  • Deliver on commitments and timelines.
  • Treat every customer interaction as an opportunity to build trust and long-term relationships.
  • Represent the Jackson's Toyota brand with professionalism and integrity.

Our Core Values

We hire and recognize team members who live our values every day:

Our Brand is Our People

You understand that every interaction reflects our dealership and our reputation in the community.

No Lemons

You pay attention to the details, ask questions, and strive to make great decisions for both our customers and our business.

No Finish Line

You are competitive, coachable, and always looking for ways to improve and grow.

Going the Extra Mile

You believe exceptional customer experiences happen when we do more than what is expected.

What We're Looking For

  • Automotive experience is an asset.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Confidence discussing vehicle values and negotiating purchases.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Organized with excellent follow-up habits.
  • Comfortable using technology, CRM tools, and market valuation software.
  • Valid Ontario driver's license with a clean driving record.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation package including salary and performance incentives.
  • Benefits package.
  • Growth and advancement opportunities.
  • Supportive leadership team and strong dealership culture.
  • The opportunity to directly influence the growth of one of Central Ontario's leading pre-owned operations.

If you enjoy building relationships, finding opportunities, and helping customers while growing inventory, we'd love to meet you.

Join Jackson's Toyota and help us continue to Drive the Experience.
