Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Administrator, where your organizational skills and compassionate approach will keep our medical office running smoothly. In this vital role, you'll serve an important part of daily operations, ensuring efficient patient flow, accurate record-keeping, and seamless communication between staff and patients. Your proactive attitude and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment that promotes excellent patient care and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage appointment scheduling using electronic medical records systems to ensure optimal patient flow and minimized wait times.
  • Proficiency with the Accurro EMR is a vital assest to this role.
  • Greet patients warmly at the front desk, verify insurance information, and update medical records accurately.
  • Handle multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and relay messages promptly.
  • Maintain organized medical office files, ensuring all documentation complies with privacy regulations and office standards.
  • Assist with billing processes, insurance claims, and payment collections to support financial operations.
  • Support clinical staff by preparing patient charts, updating medical terminology details, and coordinating referrals or follow-up appointments.

Skills

  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems (Accurro) to document patient information efficiently.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret clinical notes and communicate effectively with healthcare providers.
  • Experience working in a Primary Care office environment, particularly in front desk or administrative roles.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting professionally with patients, staff, and external partners.
  • Ability to operate multi-line phone systems confidently and handle high-volume call environments.
  • Prior administrative experience in healthcare settings that demonstrates reliability and a proactive approach.

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28.0 per week
