Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and proactive Front of House (FOH) Catering & Logistics Coordinator to join our team. A successful candidate must be an energetic and detail-oriented person.
This unique role blends traditional hospitality service with vital operational logistics. In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for catering events, ensuring seamless coordination between clients, kitchen staff, and service teams. You will be the backbone of our event execution—handling everything from inventory and shopping to the safe delivery, setup, and teardown of our events.
Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will drive exceptional guest experiences, manage event logistics, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and hospitality. Core Responsibilities
1. Logistics & Delivery Execution
- Pack catering deliveries meticulously, ensuring all food, beverages, and service equipment match event pull sheets perfectly.
- Deliver and set up catering orders at various venues and client locations, ensuring a high-end, professional presentation.
- Retrieve equipment post-event, safely returning all company property to the main kitchen/storage facility.
- Manage rental equipment logistics, which includes picking up ordered items from our partner rental company and ensuring their prompt, complete return.
2. Procurement & Inventory Management
- Shop for essential items, including event service wares, food ingredients, and general company supplies.
- Manage FOH inventory, tracking stock levels of paper goods, strictly organizing stickers/labels, and monitoring overall equipment counts.
- Order FOH supplies proactively to avoid shortages ahead of busy event weekends.
- Maintain storage areas, keeping the FOH storage facility and equipment clean, deeply organized, and easily accessible.
3. Administrative & Office Support
- Execute basic office tasks, including answering emails, organizing digital files, and reviewing event paperwork.
- Print custom labels and stickers for menu items to ensure clear allergen, dietary, and branding presentation at events.
Duties
- Coordinate all front-of-house catering operations, including setup, service, and breakdown of events to ensure smooth execution.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients, kitchen staff, and service teams to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
- Manage event logistics such as transportation, equipment setup, and inventory control to guarantee timely delivery and presentation.
- Oversee food handling procedures, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and proper sanitation practices.
- Assist with guest services by addressing client needs promptly and professionally, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Support bartending and food preparation activities as needed to ensure efficient service during events.
- Maintain accurate documentation of event details, inventory levels, and safety protocols to support operational excellence.
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant or food industry settings with a focus on guest services and hospitality.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, serving techniques, and food safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and interact positively with guests.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with food preparation or bartending is a plus; hotel experience is beneficial.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence and hospitality standards.
- Familiarity with food safety certifications or training is preferred to uphold health standards.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Driving Requirements (Mandatory):
- A valid Driver’s License is essential and mandatory for this role.
- A clean driving record with zero major infractions.
- Proof of insurance and a formal driving record abstract must be submitted to progress to the interview stage.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to safely lift, push, and carry heavy catering crates, tables, and rental equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Skills: Excellent time management, basic computer/printing literacy, and a sharp eye for organizational details.
- Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work a variable schedule that includes weekdays for shopping/prep, as well as weekends and evenings for event execution.
