Looking for professional servers that have at least 5 years of serving experience.

All black Uniform: dress pants, shirt, tie, socks.

Black Non-slip oil resistant dress shoes

Tools: Pen, Pad, Lighter, Corkscrew & Valid Smart Serve

Knowledge: Wine Service, French Service, Heavy lifting of Banquet Oval Trays, 4-course meal, table setup execution. Order taking knowledge for Dietary Restrictions.

Position Overview

As a Banquet Server, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences at a variety of events including corporate functions, weddings, conferences, and private events. You will be responsible for providing professional food and beverage service while maintaining high standards of presentation, efficiency, and customer care.

This position is vacant due to variable staffing requirements tied to contract-based client engagements, including special events.

What you’ll be doing:

● Set up banquet spaces, including tables, linens, place settings, and service stations

● Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and timely manner

● Carry trays, clear plates, and maintain cleanliness throughout the event

● Follow event timelines and service standards as directed by the Team Lead or Client

● Provide attentive and courteous service, responding to guest needs efficiently

● Communicate with kitchen and event staff to ensure smooth service flow

● Assist with event tear-down, including clearing tables and resetting spaces

● Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas before, during, and after events

What you bring to the table:

● Strong communication and customer service skills

● Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments

● Team-oriented mindset with a positive and professional attitude

● Ability to follow direction and adapt quickly during events

● Must be able to exert physical effort, including carrying trays and standing for extended periods

● Ability to lift up to 25lbs independently and up to 50lbs with assistance

● Flexibility for varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

● Punctual, reliable, and committed to each assignment

● Smart Serve certification (or provincial equivalent) considered an asset

● Preferred experience: 6 months – 1 year of banquet or hospitality service experience

Representing Staff Shop

● Act as an ambassador of Staff Shop, representing the company with professionalism, integrity, and respect at all times

● Demonstrate a positive attitude and strong work ethic while on assignment

● Maintain a polished appearance and adhere to event dress codes and grooming standards

● Communicate effectively with clients, guests, and team members
