Backs in Action Wellness Centre jobs

If you are finishing massage school, waiting on your CMTBC exam, or working through registration, this is a place to keep your hands busy and your skills sharp while you get there.

We are a busy multidisciplinary clinic in East Vancouver with more demand than our registered team can absorb. We are opening bodywork hours so patients who want hands-on relaxation and deep tissue work can be seen, and so a practitioner on the way to registration can build real clinical hours in a real clinic.

What the role is

• Relaxation and deep tissue bodywork sessions with private-pay patients, in a furnished treatment room.
• Shifts in the morning or the afternoon, Monday through Saturday.
• A schedule we build around your classes, your study time and your exam dates. If you are still in school, we will also work within your program's requirements.

What you get out of being here

• A clinic floor to learn on. Chiropractors, physiotherapists, registered massage therapists, kinesiologists, acupuncturists and clinical counsellors all work in this building, and you will be in the room with them.
• Informal mentorship and case conversation with experienced practitioners.
• Patients who are already here. Our front desk books you, so you are not chasing clients or marketing yourself.
• A commission split agreed with you based on your experience.
• No linens to handle, no payments to chase, no admin. Our in-house laundry and front desk take care of all of it.
• Free on-site parking, SkyTrain at the door, and use of our on-site gym.
• A serious conversation about joining our registered massage therapy team once you are licensed. We would rather grow someone we already know.
