OVERVIEW

The IT System Administrator is responsible for maintaining, monitoring, administrating and repairing information/communication technology, and hardware/software equipment. Working under the direction of the Director of Information Technology, this position requires excellent customer service, technical, and organizational skills. Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role with the successful candidate also able to able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, manage, and maintain servers, operating systems, telecommunications equipment and systems software
  • Manage daily IT operations issues and provide escalation for critical systems outages
  • Analyze and resolve enterprise hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Implement and maintain enterprise security solutions; including anti-virus and disaster recovery plans with supporting documents
  • Routinely inspect all supported equipment on property, identifying potential problems and coordinating necessary repairs
  • Create and document technical procedures for the Information Technology department
  • Coordinate the troubleshooting and repair of all supported equipment on property
  • Perform basic support functions including installing/configuring PCs, laptops, mobile devices, printers, peripheral, and office automation software
  • Maintain thorough documentation of file servers and network operating systems
  • Remain on-call on a 24-hour basis for all emergency support situations
  • Develop appropriate standards and procedures for network and server administration
  • Enforce standards of security, system integrity and confidentiality within the team, and routinely inspecting all supported equipment on property
  • Assist with managing and mentoring IT Technicians in the department


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a combination of relevant education and experience
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience a mid to large IT customer service organization
  • Casino, hotel, and /or Point of Systems experience preferred
  • Must have expertise in Windows Server 2019 administration, Exchange 2019, backup software, VMware, and SANs
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities while working closely with various departments
  • Highly organized and detail oriented to be able to perform many tasks at one time
  • Broad knowledge of computer applications, system installation, troubleshooting, problem determination, and operation techniques
  • Willingness to learn new technologies rapidly and become proficient at implementing technologies quickly
  • Must possess superior computer skills, and be proficient in software applications currently in use by the company
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a rapidly changing business environment
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or MS Certified Professional (MCP) is preferred


CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to obtain and maintain GAMW registration
  • Ability to complete all BCLC required trainings
  • Serving it Right certification


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to lift, handle, and transport materials that are over 20lbs
  • Required to sit, stand and walk during working hours
