Part-Time DZ/AZ Licensed Delivery Driver

Amherst Supply Ltd. is a family-owned and operated store specializing in lumber, building supplies, and agricultural feed. We are currently seeking a friendly, motivated, and hardworking individual to join our team as a Part-Time DZ/AZ Licensed Delivery Driver. This role supports both our delivery operations and our lumber yard team and requires someone who is reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Delivery Duties

  • Safely deliver building material loads within Windsor/Essex County
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring products are placed safely and effectively
  • Complete assigned routes in a timely manner
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with customers
  • Accurately complete all required documentation, including picking tickets, delivery tickets, customer notes, and vehicle inspection logs

Lumber Yard / Warehouse Duties

  • Retrieve and prepare product and materials according to customer orders
  • Load materials into customer vehicles with accuracy and care
  • Strap, tarp, and properly stack lifts of lumber
  • Assist with receiving incoming products
  • Maintain a tidy, organized, and professional yard/work area
  • Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • Prepare material orders for shipping
  • Load and unload trucks using a forklift (following operating guidelines and procedures)
  • Work collaboratively with other team members in an organized and efficient manner

Requirements

  • Valid DZ/AZ License with a clean Driver’s Abstract (required)
  • Previous yard, warehouse, or forklift experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of lumber and building materials is an asset
  • Strong communication skills with customers and co-workers
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellent customer service
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious
  • Ability to consistently lift/carry 50+ pounds

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
