Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, experienced Assistant Service Manager to join our automotive dealership team. This role is vital in supporting the Service Department’s daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and assisting in achieving sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, dealership experience, and excellent leadership skills to help maintain high standards of service quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • overseeing daily service department operations, including scheduling and workflow management, reporting in with Fixed Operations Manager.
  • Support technicians with mechanical troubleshooting and ensure quality control during repairs
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, explaining repair options, and ensuring a positive experience
  • Promote additional services through upselling and educate customers on maintenance plans and vehicle care
  • Assist in training and mentoring new staff members to uphold dealership standards
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify opportunities for service-related sales growth

Skills

  • Dealership experience is mandatory for this position.
  • Mechanical knowledge in automotive repair and maintenance
  • Strong customer service skills to build rapport and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Proven ability to upsell services and parts effectively while maintaining integrity
  • Experience with sales techniques and cash handling procedures
