We are currently hiring a Regular Full-Time Red Seal Automotive Technician based in our Kelowna Automotive Service Centre .

As a Red Seal Automotive Technician, you will manage any repair that comes to your location. You mentor other technicians and lead by example when it comes to safety, operational excellence and clear communication with Members and your BCAA team.

Once here, you will:

  • Complete all repairs to meet BCAA’s high standards for safety, performance and outstanding service to our Members.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment that complies with environmental standards, operational policies and procedures while ensuring equipment is in good working condition for your entire BCAA team.

  • Be proactive by staying current with advances in vehicle technology.

  • Work collaboratively with the Service Manager and other team members to ensure a seamless experience for our Members.

  • Assist and mentor apprentices and lube technicians to ensure repairs are accurate and complete.

What you bring:

  • Automotive Red Seal Certificate. Current and up-to-date training on automotive technologies with a focus on OBD-II courses.

  • Three-years of experience as a Journeyperson Technician.

  • Clean BC Driver License Class 5 or better.

  • Ability to lift 70 lbs (32 kg), bend, reach, walk and stand for long periods of time.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Experience with Automotive DMS systems and modern scan tools.

The salary range for this position is $ 77,074.32 ($37.05/hr) to $85,638.12 ($41.17/hr) [straight-rate] and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a 9% target performance bonus paid quarterly and annually, with the opportunity to earn up to 15%, along with a comprehensive Total Rewards package including 3 weeks’ vacation plus wellness and cultural days (PTO prorated based on start date), 6% RRSP matching, Defined Contribution Pension, a $300 Wellness Account (prorated), and a BCAA membership.

This full-time position is 5 days a week, and is an on-site position based out of our Kelowna Auto Service Centre ( 1545 Keehn Rd, Kelowna BC ) . Applicants who are not located within commuting distance of our Kelowna ASC or are not looking to relocate to the BC Interior region will not be considered.
