Who We Are:

Budget Brake and Muffler Auto Centre North Vancouver is a family-owned automotive service shop that has been serving the north shore for over 35 years. We provide competitive wages, benefits, and a great working environment. We are looking for a new member to join our team.

What's The Role:

This is a unique opportunity for an automotive shop assistant that is willing and able to work 5 days a week.

Automotive Shop Assistant Responsibilities:

·Routine Maintenance:

Perform basic vehicle maintenance services, including but not limited to oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, battery testing and replacement, fluid level checks, and other routine maintenance tasks as assigned.

Shop Upkeep:

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Clean, inspect, and properly store tools and equipment. Keep work bays, common areas, and customer vehicles neat and free of hazards.

Safety Compliance:

Follow all workplace health and safety policies, safe work procedures, and environmental regulations. Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE), report hazards or incidents promptly, and maintain safe work practices at all times.

Vehicle Care:

Protect customer vehicles by using appropriate seat covers, floor mats, and fender covers where required. Handle all customer vehicles with care and professionalism.

General Shop Support:

Assist mechanics and other team members with shop tasks as directed. Perform miscellaneous duties required to support the efficient operation of the shop.

Training and Development:

Participate in on-the-job training and demonstrate competency in assigned tasks before performing them independently. Follow established shop procedures and ask for clarification whenever uncertain.

Additional Duties:

Perform other duties related to the operation of the shop as reasonably assigned.

Position Requirements:

· Automotive repair experience

· Valid BC Driver’s License

· Willingness to learn

· Strong verbal communication skills and ability to follow instructions independently

· Work well in a team environment

· Commitment to high standards of work
