Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mercury Sportjet Boat Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Sportjet engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot various boat systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of vessels, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance. Candidates should possess excellent mechanical knowledge and be comfortable working with both hand tools and power tools in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on boats, including engines, electrical systems, and hull components
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using specialized tools and techniques
  • Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble boat parts and systems
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential problems before they become major issues
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service orders
  • Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations during all repair activities

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Boat Mechanic or in a similar marine repair role
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of boat engines, electrical systems, and marine components
  • Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
  • Experience using power tools safely and effectively in repair tasks
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical issues accurately and efficiently
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic environment
  • Relevant certifications or licenses related to marine mechanics are a plus but not required

Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour
