Part-Time Social Media & Content Coordinator

Greentree Outdoor Living

Part-time: Approximately 10–15 hours per week

About Greentree

Greentree Outdoor Living is a premium landscape design-build company serving Edmonton and surrounding communities. We create complete outdoor spaces, including patios, decks, outdoor kitchens, pergolas, planting, lighting, water features, and custom landscape construction.

We are looking for a creative and dependable Part-Time Social Media & Content Coordinator to help capture our projects, tell our story, and showcase the work of our designers and construction teams.

The Role

This is a hands-on content position. You will visit active and completed project sites, gather photos and videos, interview team members when needed, and turn that content into professional and engaging social media posts.

The ideal candidate has some previous experience creating social media content and is comfortable working independently in both office and outdoor construction environments.

Responsibilities

  • Visit active and completed project sites to capture photos and videos
  • Create short-form videos, reels, project updates, before-and-after content, and educational posts
  • Write captions and prepare content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other platforms
  • Develop and maintain a consistent social media content calendar
  • Work with Greentree’s designers, project managers, crews, and leadership to identify content opportunities
  • Capture client testimonials and team interviews when appropriate
  • Edit photos and videos into polished, brand-consistent content
  • Showcase project progress from design through construction and completion
  • Organize and maintain Greentree’s photo and video content library
  • Help promote company events, partnerships, team achievements, seasonal services, and completed projects
  • Monitor social media activity and assist with responding to comments and messages
  • Track basic content performance and identify which types of posts generate the most engagement

Qualifications

  • Some previous experience managing social media or creating digital content
  • Strong photography and videography skills using a smartphone, camera and/or drone
  • Experience editing short-form videos for social media
  • Comfortable using platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Canva, CapCut, Adobe, or similar programs
  • Strong written communication and attention to detail
  • Creative, organized, dependable, and able to manage a flexible schedule
  • Comfortable visiting outdoor construction sites
  • Able to work independently while collaborating with multiple team members
  • Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation to project sites within Edmonton and surrounding communities

An Asset

  • Experience with landscaping, construction, home improvement, architecture, real estate, or design-related content
  • Experience with paid social media advertising
  • Graphic design experience
  • Experience appearing on camera or directing others in video content
  • Knowledge of content analytics and social media growth strategies
  • Access to professional photography, video, drone, or audio equipment

Schedule

This is a part-time position averaging approximately 10–15 hours per week. Hours may vary depending on project activity, weather, events, and content opportunities.

Some flexibility will be required to visit project sites when crews are working or when projects reach important construction milestones.

Pay: $16.00-$25.00 per hour
