Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Driver to join our team. This role involves delivering goods efficiently and safely to various destinations, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the integrity of shipments. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent communication skills, and experience with logistics and deliveries.

Route is from Nanaimo to Ucluelet and back M-F. Starting wage 25 per hour.

Duties

  • Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport packages and goods to designated locations.
  • Load and unload items, including heavy or bulky shipments, utilizing appropriate lifting techniques and equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
  • Ensure timely deliveries by planning optimal routes and adhering to schedules.
  • Assist with moving items within warehouses or distribution centers as needed.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each shipment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and proper functioning of the delivery vehicle.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery statuses or issues.

Skills

  • Experience in moving heavy items safely, tying off loads properly
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Excellent driving skills with a valid class 5 driver’s license preferred.
  • Good physical stamina for heavy lifting
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients.
  • Previous experience with logistics operations a plus
  • Ability to navigate efficiently using maps or GPS technology for route planning. This position offers an essential role in our logistics operations, requiring dedication, safety consciousness, and excellent service delivery.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week

Work Location: On the road
