Full job description

Clinical Audiologist / Hearing Instrument Specialist - Join Edmonton’s Independent, Patient-First Hearing Care Team

- Edmonton, Alberta
- Full-Time or Part-Time
- In-Person

At Professional Audiology, we believe hearing care should be about people — not sales quotas.

For nearly 40 years, we’ve built our reputation as one of Edmonton’s most trusted independent hearing clinics by doing things differently: putting relationships, clinical excellence, and patient outcomes first.

We’re locally owned, clinician-driven, and deeply connected to the community we serve. That means our team has the freedom to focus on what actually matters — helping patients hear better and live better — without the pressure and bureaucracy that often comes with large corporate chains.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an exceptional Audiologist or Hearing Instrument Specialist to join our team in either a full-time or part-time role at our Edmonton office.

If you’re passionate about patient care, value autonomy and teamwork, and want to work in an environment where your expertise is respected, we’d love to meet you.

Why Clinicians Love Working Here

Independent & Locally Owned

We’re not a corporate chain. Our clinicians have a real voice in how care is delivered and how the clinic evolves.

Patient-First Philosophy

Our success comes from trust, long-term relationships, and exceptional care — not aggressive sales targets.

Collaborative Team Culture

We’re a close-knit, supportive group that genuinely enjoys working together. We value kindness, professionalism, and helping each other succeed.

Modern Hearing Care

You’ll work with advanced hearing technology while continuing to grow your clinical knowledge and skills.

Stability + Growth

With more than three decades serving Edmonton, we offer the stability of an established practice with the energy and vision of a clinic that continues to evolve.

What You’ll Do

As a key member of our clinical team, you’ll guide patients through their hearing care journey with empathy, professionalism, and expertise.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Diagnostic hearing assessments
  • Hearing aid evaluations, fittings, and follow-up care
  • Patient counselling and education
  • Cerumen management
  • Collaboration with clinicians and patient care coordinators
  • Supporting a positive, welcoming patient experience
  • Ongoing learning and professional development

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Registered and in good standing with the relevant provincial college
  • Licensed Audiologist or Hearing Instrument Specialist (at this time our needs heavily favour an audiologist, however we are open to further discussions with outstanding hearing instrument specialists if its the right fit)
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience preferred (would consider an exceptional new audiology grad)
  • Strong skills in diagnostics, counselling, and hearing technology
  • Pediatric experience a big plus

You’re Likely a Great Fit If You:

  • Genuinely enjoy helping people
  • Value patient relationships over transactional care
  • Thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately
  • Are organized, adaptable, and proactive
  • Enjoy learning and staying current with technology and best practices
  • Want to be part of a clinic where culture matters

Experience with hearing software, EMRs, or patient management systems is an asset, but we’re happy to support the right candidate in learning new systems.

Compensation & Benefits

We offer:

  • Competitive compensation based on experience
  • Extended health benefits
  • Paid time off
  • On-site parking
  • Flexible or part-time schedule for the right candidate
  • A supportive workplace that values work-life balance and professional growth
