· Prepare and submit regulatory reports to WorkSafe New Brunswick and other provincial authorities, as required.

· Coordinate HSE training programs, including scheduling, tracking employee participation, and maintaining training certifications.

· Support Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings by preparing agendas, documenting meeting minutes, and following up on action items.

· Monitor and analyze HSE performance metrics and prepare reports for management review.

· Conduct field-based risk assessments and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) to identify hazards and recommend appropriate control measures.

· Perform regular site inspections and safety audits to ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation, company policies, and industry best practices.

· Provide on-site safety support during high-risk work activities, ensuring the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to safe work practices.

· Assist with incident investigations, including root cause analysis, and develop recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.

· Deliver toolbox talks, safety orientations, and other HSE training sessions to employees and contractors.

· Foster a proactive safety culture by engaging with employees, supervisors, and management at all levels of the organization.

· Stay current with changes to Canadian HSE legislation, industry standards, and best practices, and recommend improvements to company programs and procedures.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in a health and safety role or a related field.

· Bachelor's degree, diploma, or certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline.

· Working knowledge of Canadian Occupational Health and Safety legislation, WHMIS, and applicable provincial regulations.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and HSE management software, such as SiteDocs and ISNetworld (ISN).

· Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills, with strong attention to detail.

· Ability to balance office-based administrative responsibilities with field-based safety activities.

· Valid New Brunswick Class 5 driver's licence and the ability to travel to company work sites.

· Physically capable of conducting field inspections in a variety of environments, including construction sites and industrial facilities, with the ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and enter confined spaces.
