Outside Sales Representative – Industrial Services (Eastern Canada)

Location: Ontario (Remote/Home Office Based)
Territory: Ontario & Select Atlantic Canada Accounts
Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000 Base Salary + Uncapped Commission

As we continue expanding our presence across Eastern Canada, we're looking for a driven Outside Sales Representative who thrives on prospecting, building relationships, and creating new business opportunities.

This is a hunter role designed for someone who enjoys opening doors, developing strategic accounts, and building a strong sales pipeline from the ground up.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Sales Leader, you will be responsible for generating new revenue opportunities throughout Ontario while supporting growth initiatives within targeted Atlantic Canada accounts. Your primary focus will be identifying prospects, building relationships with key decision-makers, qualifying opportunities, and guiding opportunities through the sales process to close.

This role is ideal for someone who has experience selling services within industrial markets and enjoys creating opportunities rather than managing inherited accounts.

What You'll DoBusiness Development & Prospecting

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within industrial sectors.
  • Develop and execute territory growth plans.
  • Build relationships with plant managers, maintenance leaders, operations teams, procurement professionals, and other key decision-makers.
  • Generate qualified opportunities through networking, referrals, cold outreach, industry events, and strategic account targeting.
  • Maintain a healthy sales funnel and consistently create new opportunities.

Opportunity Management

  • Qualify and disqualify opportunities effectively.
  • Lead discovery conversations to understand client challenges and requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to develop solutions and proposals.
  • Manage opportunities through the CRM and sales process.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline visibility.

Relationship Building

  • Establish long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and sales meetings.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling services, rentals, and tooling solutions.
  • Represent Innovator Industrial professionally within the marketplace.

What Success Looks Like

Key performance expectations include:

  • Generate approximately $4 million in new annual revenue
  • Maintain a healthy and active sales pipeline
  • Achieve strong forecast accuracy
  • Conduct 10+ client meetings per week
  • Create 5+ qualified opportunities per week

What We're Looking ForRequired Experience

  • 3+ years of outside sales or business development experience.
  • Experience selling industrial services, maintenance services, rentals, tooling, equipment, technical solutions, or related industrial offerings.
  • Proven track record of prospecting and generating new business.
  • Experience managing a sales funnel and CRM system.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience selling into manufacturing, industrial, energy, mining, utilities, construction, or heavy industry sectors.
  • Existing network within Ontario industrial markets.
  • Experience working with complex sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.
