Overview

Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Receptionist and become the welcoming face of our animal care facility. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about animals, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to delivering exceptional client service.

As a key member of our team, you will coordinate appointments, manage client communications, and support the daily operations of our veterinary practice. Your organizational skills, professionalism, and compassionate approach will help create a positive experience for both our clients and their beloved pets.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and patients in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner.
  • Schedule appointments efficiently, accommodating both routine visits and urgent cases.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and emails, providing accurate information regarding services, procedures, and general pet care.
  • Process payments, invoices, and medical billing accurately.
  • Maintain and update patient records, medical histories, and treatment information.
  • Follow up on outstanding accounts and assist with medical collections while maintaining compassionate communication with clients.
  • Keep the reception area organized, clean, and well-stocked.
  • Assist with administrative duties to support the smooth operation of the clinic.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and support staff to ensure excellent patient and client care.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a veterinary reception, veterinary assistant, or customer service role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of veterinary terminology and basic animal care practices is considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and compassionate when handling sensitive situations.
  • Comfortable handling pets safely and confidently when required.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, scheduling software, and basic office applications.
  • A genuine passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing outstanding client service.
