Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Office Assistant (MOA) with injection certification and phlebotomy expertise to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care by performing blood sampling, specimen collection, and administering injections while ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene protocols. Your clinical laboratory experience and knowledge of physiology will support accurate specimen handling and processing, contributing to efficient diagnostic services. Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and blood sampling using proper aseptic techniques to ensure specimen integrity.
  • Collect and process various clinical specimens accurately, following laboratory procedures and protocols.
  • Administer injections safely and effectively in accordance with medical guidelines, including vaccines and other medications.
  • Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to assist in patient assessment.
  • Provide patient care by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort throughout clinical interactions.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of all procedures performed, including injection records, specimen labels, and patient information.
  • Follow infection control standards diligently to uphold a sterile environment during all clinical activities.

Skills

  • Proficient in laboratory techniques including specimen collection, processing, and handling.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and clinical laboratory operations.
  • Hands-on experience with phlebotomy, venipuncture, and blood sampling techniques.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy relevant to blood collection and patient care.
  • Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically.
  • Understanding of physiology principles related to blood circulation and anatomy for safe procedure execution.
  • Experience working in hospital or clinical settings with a focus on patient safety and care standards.
