Summary

Hyatt Regency Vancouver is looking for a dedicated and customer service-oriented to join the Storeroom and Receiving team as a Storeroom Attendant (Part-Time).


The Storeroom Attendant is responsible for but not limited to the following duties:

  • Checking in all incoming product and guest packages.
  • Responsible for shipping guest packages and in house needs.
  • Receiving of all food and non-food deliveries for the hotel.
  • Ordering of both food and non-food supplies
  • Creating and receiving purchase orders
  • Organizing, storing and rotating of storeroom inventory
  • Filling department requisitions
  • Receiving, logging and storage of incoming guest packages

Shifts may include opening shifts starting at 6:30am and/ or closing shifts ending at 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.


Starting wage for this position is $26.70 per hour, after 6 months wage is $31.15 per hour, after 1 year wage is $35.60 per hour.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to lift a moderate amount of weight.
  • Must be available to work various shifts from 6:30am to 4:30pm.
  • Must have refined verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous receiving and purchasing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of food products, liquor, wine and beer preferred.
  • Must possess excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Opera, other purchasing/receiving order system)
  • Must be able to communicate with a diverse group of individuals (co-workers, suppliers, hotel guests) in a professional manner at all times.
  • Must be able to provide genuine service to all guests.
  • Must be organized and able to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Previous hotel experience is an asset.
  • Must have good organization skills.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimum or no supervision.
  • Must be an excellent team player with a positive and helpful attitude.
  • Must be physically fit to perform and complete all duties as required.
  • Must have a good command of the English language.
  • Knowledge of a second language is considered an asset.

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
  • Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying up to 50lbs.
  • Frequent kneeling and bending
  • Frequent reaching above head level
  • Occasional ascending or descending stairs and ramps
  • Capable of performing repetitious duties
