Full job description

The HR Pro is currently conducting a confidential search on behalf of a growing home staging and interior design company that specializes in preparing residential properties for sale through thoughtful design, organization, and presentation.

We are seeking a creative, organized, and hands-on Junior Home Stager to join the team working part time for an average of 20 hours per week. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a passion for interiors and design and is looking to grow their experience within the home staging industry while working alongside experienced senior stager's on a variety of residential projects.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the creative and operational side of staging — from helping design beautiful spaces to coordinating staging days, inventory, and project details behind the scenes.

About the Role

The Junior Home Stager & Design Coordinator will assist with staging consultations, project coordination, staging installations, inventory preparation, and onsite staging support.

The successful candidate will support senior stagers' on larger projects while gradually taking on smaller staging projects independently as experience develops.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that requires creativity, organization, flexibility, professionalism, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Property Preparation

  • Participate in residential property walkthroughs and staging consultations
  • Assist in assessing spaces and identifying opportunities to improve presentation and market appeal
  • Take photos, measurements, and notes during consultations
  • Assist with design recommendations including furnishings, décor, paint colours, lighting, layouts, and room presentation
  • Help prepare staging plans and project details for clients and agents

Staging Installation Support

  • Assist with staging day setup and installation
  • Work alongside movers and senior stagers' to place furniture, artwork, décor, and accessories
  • Help ensure properties are staged according to the approved design plan
  • Assist with de-staging and inventory returns following property sales
  • Support the team with maintaining clean, organized, and presentation-ready staging inventory

Coordination & Communication

  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, real estate agents, movers, and vendors
  • Help coordinate staging timelines and project logistics
  • Assist with tracking project details, inventory usage, and scheduling updates
  • Learn and utilize the company’s Stage Force inventory system for staging item selection and tracking

Inventory & Sourcing

  • Assist with sourcing décor, accessories, and staging items
  • Help organize and maintain staging inventory and warehouse areas
  • Ensure staging pieces are properly scanned in and out of inventory systems
  • Assist with seasonal inventory updates and quality control

Important Considerations

  • Candidates must not currently be actively working for another home staging company while employed in this role
  • This role involves both creative design work and physical onsite staging support
  • Flexibility is important, as staging schedules and project timelines can vary
  • The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, organized, and confident working in client-facing environments

Portfolio Submission Requirement

As part of the screening process, applicants may be asked to provide:

  • A portfolio of relevant work, and/or
  • Before-and-after photos of projects, room transformations, or design-related work

Relevant school projects, personal projects, or professional work are all welcomed.
