The Opportunity

This is more than a graphic design role.

This is an opportunity to help shape the creative direction of two iconic Canadian brands.

Working closely with senior leadership and the marketing team, you'll play an integral role in evolving the visual identity of Artigiano and Salt Spring Coffee across every customer touchpoint.

From product packaging and café environments to digital campaigns and new product launches, your work will influence how our brands continue to grow across Canada and beyond.

What You'll Own

Brand Evolution

• Help continuously modernize and elevate the visual identity of Artigiano and Salt Spring Coffee.
• Ensure consistency across all customer-facing creative.
• Protect and strengthen both brands while introducing fresh, innovative design solutions.

Packaging & Product Design

• Design and refresh coffee packaging, retail products, and promotional materials.
• Collaborate on new product launches from concept through production.
• Prepare production-ready artwork for print vendors and manufacturers.

Creative Development

• Design digital and print marketing campaigns.
• Create menus, café signage, point-of-sale materials, social media graphics, advertisements, presentations, and promotional collateral.
• Support franchise and corporate locations with creative assets that maintain premium brand standards.

Creative Innovation

• Stay ahead of design trends, consumer preferences, and emerging technologies.
• Bring new ideas that keep both brands visually relevant and competitive.
• Explore new creative approaches while respecting the heritage and identity of each brand.

If you want to influence the future of two established brands and see your work come to life across cafés, grocery shelves, digital platforms, and customer experiences, this role will be incredibly rewarding.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of professional graphic design experience.
• A strong portfolio showcasing branding, packaging, print, and digital design.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Exceptional typography, layout, and visual storytelling skills.
• Experience preparing artwork for commercial print production.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience within food & beverage, hospitality, retail, or consumer packaged goods is considered a strong asset.
• Experience using AI-powered creative tools to enhance design workflows, concept development, and productivity is considered a strong asset.

Contract Details

This is an exclusive independent contractor position.

Due to the confidential nature of our creative strategy, product development, and brand evolution, the successful candidate will provide services exclusively to Artigiano and Salt Spring Coffee throughout the term of the agreement. Outside graphic design employment, freelance work, or creative contracts with other organizations are not permitted during the contract term..

Pay: $4,000.00-$5,000.00 per month
