Duties

  • Plan and deliver engaging art lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels, incorporating a variety of artistic techniques and materials.
  • Develop curriculum materials that align with educational standards while encouraging innovative exploration.
  • Assess student progress regularly through projects, critiques, and written feedback, providing constructive guidance to support growth.
  • Maintain a well-organized classroom environment that promotes safety, creativity, and respect among students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art into interdisciplinary projects and school-wide initiatives.
  • Support students with special education needs by adapting instruction methods and materials to ensure inclusive participation.
  • Organize exhibitions or showcases of student artwork to celebrate achievements and foster community engagement.

Skills

  • Proven classroom experience in teaching art or related subjects, demonstrating effective instructional techniques.
  • Strong communication skills to clearly convey artistic concepts and provide meaningful feedback.
  • Excellent writing skills for preparing lesson plans, assessments, and student evaluations.
