Studio Manager – Full-Time
Location: Vancouver, BC
Organization: Dance Co
Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Schedule: Includes afternoons/evenings and weekends. Availability required for performances and special events.
Compensation: $50,000–$65,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Benefits included. Performance-based wage increases and growth opportunities.

About Dance Co

Founded in 1992, Dance Co is one of Vancouver’s leading dance education institutions. With over 450 weekly classes and more than 1,000 students annually, we offer programming for dancers ages 3 to adult, from beginner through pre-professional levels. Our two state-of-the-art locations—in Vancouver’s Westside and Fraserhood neighborhoods—house a total of 12 studios.

At Dance Co, we foster excellence in dance training within a warm, community-focused environment. We are currently seeking a passionate, organized, and people-centered Studio Manager to join our leadership team.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director and Operations Manager and Office Manager, the Studio Manager is responsible for the daily operations and smooth functioning of both Dance Co locations. This role ensures a welcoming, professional, and efficient environment for students, families, and faculty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead front-line customer service, ensuring high standards of care, professionalism, and communication
  • Manage costume ordering and production in coordination with faculty and vendors
  • Plan and coordinate events and performances from inception to execution
  • Oversee facility upkeep, ensuring studios are clean, safe, and fully functional
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to the Director and office team
  • Liaise daily with faculty, students, and families to support program delivery
  • Assist with scheduling, registration, and seasonal planning
  • Support hiring, training, and team communication in collaboration with leadership
  • Maintain up-to-date communication across departments and platforms

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in management, customer service, or project coordination
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams or departments
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities and comfort working in fast-paced settings
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through
  • Warm, collaborative approach and team leadership mindset
  • Enjoys working with children and engaging with families
  • Event planning or project coordination experience is a strong asset
  • Familiarity or passion for dance, arts, or education is preferred
  • Experience in private school or arts-based environments is an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and studio management systems (e.g., Jackrabbit, Mindbody)
  • Post-secondary education in Arts Administration, Business, or a related field is preferred
