Interior Design Assistant

Full-time | In-person | Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
Salary: $55,000-$65,000 plus quarterly performance bonus

Atmosphere Interior Design is hiring a highly organized and design-focused Interior Design Assistant to join our Saskatoon studio.

This is a hands-on role supporting residential and commercial interior design projects through sourcing, specifications, pricing, purchasing, documentation, site coordination and installations.

Depending on experience, candidates with strong technical interior design skills may be considered for a Junior Interior Designer role with expanded design responsibilities.

Atmosphere Interior Design is one of Canada’s recognized award-winning interior design firms, specializing in distinctive residential and commercial interiors. You will work closely with our Owners, Senior Designers and Office & Purchasing Manager to help move projects from initial concept through final installation.

Your Role

  • Assist designers with residential and commercial interior design projects.
  • Research and source furniture, lighting, plumbing, cabinetry, flooring, wallpaper, fabrics and finishes.
  • Prepare client presentations, specifications and project documentation. Provide technical drawing packages - including RFP and RFC drawings.
  • Obtain pricing, prepare quotations and assist with purchasing and order tracking.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, manufacturers and trades.
  • Assist with site visits, measurements, furniture deliveries and installations.
  • Inspect incoming products and help coordinate warranty or damage claims.
  • Maintain accurate project information, schedules and timelines.
  • Help keep our showroom organized and presentation-ready.
  • Provide an exceptional client experience in every interaction.

About You

You are exceptionally organized, detail-oriented and genuinely interested in interior design. You enjoy solving problems, managing details and helping a creative team deliver excellent work.

You should have:

  • A diploma or degree in Interior Design, Interior Decorating or a related field, or be graduating soon.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines.
  • Confidence working independently and taking initiative.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and comfort learning new software.
  • A professional, positive and collaborative approach.

Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, specification software or rendering programs is considered an asset.

Why Atmosphere?

You will gain hands-on experience working on some of Western Canada's most distinctive residential and commercial projects while learning directly from an experienced, award-winning design team.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys both creativity and organization, and wants to build a long-term career within an established interior design studio.

What We Offer

  • Salary of $55,000-$65,000, based on experience.
  • Quarterly performance bonus.
  • Health and dental benefits.
  • Paid vacation and personal days.
  • A supportive and collaborative studio environment.
  • Opportunities for long-term professional growth.
  • Exposure to all stages of the interior design process.

How to Apply

Please submit your resume, a portfolio or work samples where applicable, and a brief cover letter explaining why you would be a strong fit for Atmosphere Interior Design.
