Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and creative Florist / Floral Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be designing and creating beautiful floral arrangements and gift basket designs. PROFESSIONAL FLORAL DESIGN EXPERIENCE IS A MUST FOR THIS POSITION. Only those with professional floral design experience will be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Design and create professional floral arrangements and gift basket designs.
• Engage with customers by phone, email and in person to understand their floral design and gift basket needs and guide them in choosing appropriate designs for their special occasions and requests.
• Maintain the freshness and quality of flowers through proper handling, watering, and storage.
• Manage floral inventory including flower processing, wholesale flower ordering and floral cooler cleanliness.
• Maintain showroom by creating visually appealing gift basket displays, floral designs and plant arrangements.
• Handle point-of-sale transactions accurately for incoming orders by phone, online and in person.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of all floral and gift basket orders.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, offering product recommendations and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace and showroom to ensure a safe and efficient staff and customer environment

Skills

• Proven experience in floral design.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Competence in merchandising strategies to enhance product presentation and sales performance.
• Basic understanding of e-commerce platforms for online sales management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
• Strong physical ability to stand on your feet, climb stairs and lift boxes and water filled buckets.

Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
