Residential Interior Design & Selections Coordinator
Calgary, Alberta | Full-Time | Permanent
Create an Experience Homeowners Will Never Forget.
Building a custom home is one of life's biggest milestones. While exceptional craftsmanship is expected, it's the experience along the way that homeowners remember most.
We're looking for a professional who understands that.
We are an award-winning luxury residential home builder seeking a Residential Interior Design & Selections Coordinator to become the trusted guide for our homeowners throughout one of the exciting stages of their homebuilding journey.
This isn't a traditional interior design position.
It's an opportunity for someone who loves working with people, understands residential interior design, and takes pride in creating an organized, enjoyable, and memorable experience for every homeowner.
If you're passionate about helping people make confident design decisions while building lasting relationships, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
As our Residential Interior Design & Selections Coordinator, you'll guide homeowners from firm sale through possession, helping them navigate the many decisions involved in building a custom home.
You'll coordinate selections, manage change requests, communicate project progress, and collaborate with our Sales, Design, Estimating, and Construction teams to ensure every project moves forward smoothly.
While interior design knowledge is essential, your ability to communicate, build trust, and deliver an exceptional client experience will define your success.
What You'll Do: Guide Homeowners with Confidence
- Become the primary point of contact for homeowners throughout the building process.
- Build strong, lasting relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
- Lead homeowners through interior and exterior selections while helping them make informed decisions.
- Manage expectations and provide regular project updates.
- Ensure homeowners always know what comes next and feel supported throughout their journey.
Coordinate Design & Selections
- Facilitate interior and exterior finish selections appointments
- Assist homeowners in creating cohesive design packages that reflect their lifestyle and vision.
- Create and review plans, specifications, and selection documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate selections with suppliers and internal departments.
- Stay current on residential design trends, products, and materials.
Manage Change Orders
- Coordinate pricing requests with estimating and suppliers.
- Prepare and process homeowner change orders.
- Ensure approved changes are communicated accurately to internal teams.
- Monitor outstanding approvals and selections to maintain construction schedules.
Keep Projects Organized
- Maintain detailed homeowner files and project documentation.
- Coordinate information between homeowners, construction, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Monitor project milestones and proactively identify potential issues.
- Help ensure projects remain organized, efficient, and on schedule.
Who You Are
You're someone who genuinely enjoys helping people.
You have a strong understanding of residential interior design, but what truly sets you apart is your ability to build relationships, communicate clearly, and create confidence in every interaction.
You're organized without being rigid, calm under pressure, and naturally attentive to detail. You enjoy guiding clients through important decisions and understand that outstanding customer service is every bit as important as outstanding design.
You don't wait to be asked—you anticipate needs, solve problems proactively, and take ownership of the homeowner experience.
What You'll Bring

- Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with a residential home builder or similar customer-focused environment.

- Outstanding organizational and time management abilities.
- High attention to detail.

- Professional, positive, and solution-oriented attitude.
- Proficiency with Google suite of products, and project management software.
Preferred
- Residential homebuilding experience.
- Experience leading homeowner selections appointments.
- Understanding of residential construction processes.
- Ability to read residential construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience coordinating change orders.
- Familiarity with BuilderPro, CoConstruct or similar construction management software.
Success in This Role

It's measured by the confidence homeowners have throughout the building process.
The successful candidate:
- Builds trust quickly and communicates proactively.
- Creates an organized and enjoyable selections experience.
- Makes complex decisions feel simple.
- Keeps projects moving forward through strong organization and follow-through.
- Collaborates effectively with construction, sales, design, and estimating teams.
- Takes pride in delivering a homeowner experience that reflects the quality of the homes we build.
