Transportation Call Centre Representative
(35 hours per week – Temporary position)

STWDSTS is a consortium of five school Boards, Conseil scolaire du district catholique Centre-Sud, Conseil scolaire de district du Centre Sud-Ouest, Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board, Upper Grand District School Board and Wellington Catholic District School Board providing transportation services to the students residing in Wellington and Dufferin Counties.
POSITION: Transportation Call Centre Representative

LOCATION: 66 Arrow Road, Unit B, Guelph, Ontario

SALARY: $19.60 /hr

DATES: August 17, 2026 to September 25, 2026

Reporting to the Operations Manager of Service de transport de Wellington – Dufferin Student Transportation Services (STWDSTS) the Call Centre Representative is responsible for responding to public inquiries and assisting with call-volume that occurs during school year start-up.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responding to phone inquiries from school staff, parents and bus operators;
  • Assisting other office staff as directed – clerical support;
  • Guide parents through account set up in BusPlanner web portal;
  • Assisting with emergency response, resolving daily transportation issues as they arise;
  • Other transportation related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills;
  • Familiarity with the school bus industry as it relates to pupil transportation would be an asset;
  • Ability / experience working in a high stress environment;
  • Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor on the phone;
  • Ability to utilize various software programs;
  • Familiarity with transportation planning software would be an asset;
  • Previous experience in an office related environment;
