Overview

Start your career as an apprentice Welder or Boilermaker.

Register for our Apprentice Recruitment Information Seminar (ARIS) by emailing register@boilermakers.ca or call 780-451-5992.

ARIS is an introductory seminar providing a brief overview of the demands and responsibilities for anyone considering a career in the trades. Topics include trade descriptions, apprenticeship options, employment requirements, job site expectations and the advantages of belonging to a skilled trade Union.

Locations: 15330-114 Avenue, Edmonton, AB or 11055-48 Street SE, Calgary, AB

Times: spots available at 10:00 am at both locations and 5:00 pm in Calgary

Please bring your government issued Photo ID, Social Insurance Card (SIN) and references.

To be eligible for employment you must be able to:

  • Work in a physically demanding environment
  • Follow direction
  • Work under pressure
  • Communicate well, both verbally and written, in the English language
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Travel around Alberta, including Fort McMurray

Candidates must be:

  • 18 years or older
  • A Canadian citizen or Permanent resident
