Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled CNC Machinist to join our metals manufacturing crew. The ideal candidate will program, setup and operate CNC machines, including CNC lathes and milling machines. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in CNC programming, and the ability to interpret technical drawings. The CNC Machinist will contribute to maintaining high-quality standards and efficient production processes. Wage will be matched with experience.

Responsibilities

• Program, setup, operate CNC Mill & CNC Lathe
• Plans daily for the proper execution of the assigned job, including performing the correct setup and operation of the production equipment within company safety procedures.
• Completes routine preventative machine maintenance and makes any minor adjustments to ensure equipment is in top operating condition at all times, assisting with repair works as necessary.
• Requisitions materials necessary for production.
• Fabricates parts to the specifications of the Production Work Order (PWO).
• Heat treats parts as required.
• Performs inspection of completed parts to ensure quality output in conjunction with Quality Assurance, performing any test-checks as specified in the PWO.
• Informs and coordinates with the Production Coordinator when output defects and/or machine breakdowns are noted.
• Ensures accurate labelling and packaging of materials and parts, and manages skidding of parts, wrapping and strapping the skid.
• Maintains a clean and safe work/shop area, turning over to the next shift, or shutting down equipment for next workday as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Production Coordinator.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in operating CNC Machinery.
• Mechanical knowledge in machining processes .
• Ability to read technical drawings and use measurement tools like calipers accurately.
• Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine offsets.
• Proficient in CNC programming for both lathe and milling operations.
• Proficient in manufacturing safety standards and best practices in machining environments.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, forklift operation, and assembly processes is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
