The Role: Architectural Technologist III

We’re seeking a highly experienced Architectural Technologist III to take a senior technical leadership role within our team. With 5+ years of experience in senior architectural or technical roles, you bring deep expertise in construction documentation, building systems, and constructability. You will lead technical delivery across projects, ensure the highest quality documentation standards, and provide mentorship and oversight to junior and intermediate staff.

This role is critical in driving coordination, resolving complex technical challenges, and ensuring excellence through all phases of design and construction documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of technical documentation across all project phases
  • Ensure high-quality, consistent, and coordinated construction drawing packages
  • Conduct detailed QA/QC reviews to maintain documentation standards
  • Resolve complex detailing, constructability, and code compliance issues
  • Oversee consultant coordination and integration of technical inputs
  • Support and guide construction administration and field-related technical issues
  • Mentor and provide oversight to Architectural Technologists I and II
  • Review and direct the work of junior and intermediate team members
  • Contribute to improving internal standards, detailing libraries, and workflows
  • Engage in entry-level communication with external stakeholders as required

What You Bring

  • 5+ years in senior architectural or technical roles (retail/hospitality experience is an asset)
  • Degree or diploma in Architectural Technology or Architecture
  • Advanced expertise in building systems, detailing, and construction methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of building envelope systems and constructability principles
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit and BIM-based documentation workflows
  • Proven ability to lead QA/QC processes and elevate documentation quality
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic, detail-oriented mindset
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capability
  • Confident communicator who can collaborate across disciplines and teams
  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
