Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role in Surrey, BC, for a Student Advisor/Recruiter. The role involves providing personalized counseling to prospective students, guiding them through admissions, and offering support throughout their educational journey. Day-to-day tasks include calling prospective students and responding to their inquiries, meeting with students to discuss academic and career goals, managing inquiries, providing excellent customer service, and assisting with enrollment processes. This role also includes identifying and reaching out to potential students to promote the institute's programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one advising sessions to understand each student’s current French level, goals, immigration-related objectives, timeline, schedule, and learning needs.
- Explain program structure, class schedules, course format, tuition fees, payment options, registration requirements, and expected learning outcomes.
- Maintain a professional and ethical approach when discussing student goals, program expectations, and possible outcomes.
Recruitment, Outreach, and Lead Management
- Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries received through phone, email, website forms, social media, walk-ins, referrals, WhatsApp, and other lead sources.
- Identify, qualify, and follow up with prospective students to determine their interest and suitability for LearnWell Institute’s French Language Centre.
- Make consistent outbound calls, messages, and follow-ups while maintaining a positive and professional tone.
- Manage a high volume of student reach-outs and follow-ups while ensuring that qualified leads are not missed.
- Represent LearnWell Institute at open houses, webinars, information sessions, education fairs, community events, and other recruitment activities.
Performance Expectations
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Meet KPIs related to calls, messages, appointments, assessments, registrations, conversion rates, and student starts.
- Maintain strong follow-up discipline and accurate CRM records.
- Use ethical sales practices and provide accurate program information.
- Support student satisfaction, retention, and successful class commencement.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in direct sales, student recruitment, admissions, advising, customer service, or client relationship management.
- Experience in an educational institution, language school, career college, training institute, immigration-related environment, or adult education setting is an asset.
- A diploma or degree in business, education, communications, marketing, sales, human services, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven ability to meet sales, recruitment, or enrollment targets.
- Experience handling high-volume calls, messages, and follow-ups.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, email platforms, CRM systems, and productivity tools.
- Fluency in English is required. Additional language skills such as Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, French, Mandarin, Arabic, Spanish, or other languages will be considered an asset.

Work Schedule
