Join our bakery team and let your creativity rise as you delight the world with the aroma of freshly baked Persian pastry!

Ayoub's is a retail specialty food chain specializing in dried fruits, nuts and related products. We own a bakey attacheing to our Burnaby location and all the bakery production is done in house.

We are looking for someone reliable, organized and personable with experience in parsty/bakery. The ideal candidate is someone who can bring top notch quality food and a pleasant shopping experience to customers who walk through our doors.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Responsible for creating and preparing confectionary and other pastry-based items in accordance with existing menu
  • Responsible to produce weekly bakery order for our locations on time with the team
  • Inspect the quality of ingredients and accurately measure them for specific recipes
  • Have an attention to the details and package pastry items beautifully
  • Organize and update the inventory to ensure that the bakery has enogh ingredient for production

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3 years of pastry cook, baker, or similar
  • Be able to use sheeter
  • Know how to do piping
  • Creative ability in design and decorating
  • Workable knowledge of kitchen equipment
  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
  • Must have physical stamina to lift moderate of weight
  • Ability to be on foot for a long period of time
  • Organizational Skills and team player

Job Types: Full-time (32hs-40hs), Permanent

Schedule: 8:00-4:30, Monday to Friday

Trial and training: For those selected candidates, we will have 3 days paid trial to see your skill and personality will be a good fit to the team

Wage range: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
