Overview

Join our dynamic team as an IT Support Manager, where you'll lead the charge in maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure to ensure seamless operations across the organization. This pivotal role combines technical expertise with leadership, empowering you to oversee system administration, network security, and application development initiatives. As an energetic and proactive leader, you'll coordinate IT projects, manage vendor relationships, and champion innovative solutions that drive efficiency and security. Your passion for technology and problem-solving will help us deliver exceptional support to our users while fostering a secure and resilient IT environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the IT support team to deliver exceptional technical support across all organizational levels, ensuring quick resolution of issues related to hardware, software, networks, and applications.
  • Oversee system administration tasks including managing Windows Server environments, VMware vSphere virtualization platforms, Linux systems, and cloud services such as AWS and Azure.
  • Develop and implement robust security protocols focusing on information security, network security, PCI compliance, firewall management, VPN configurations, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Manage IT projects utilizing tools like Microsoft Project and Jira, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget while adhering to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on application development using technologies such as.NET, C#, JavaScript, Python, SQL (including Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle), HTML, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.
  • Maintain network infrastructure including Cisco routers, TCP/IP configurations, TCP/UDP protocols, WAN connections, DHCP/DNS services, VPNs, and firewall settings to ensure optimal performance.
  • Foster vendor relationships for hardware procurement, software licensing, cloud services management (Azure), virtualization solutions (Citrix), SAN storage systems, SolarWinds monitoring tools, SCCM for endpoint management, and other technology partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in IT support management or systems engineering roles with a strong background in system administration across Windows Server environments and Linux platforms.
  • Extensive knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere and Citrix; experience with containerization tools like Docker is a plus.
  • Hands-on expertise in cloud computing platforms including AWS and Azure; familiarity with DevOps practices using CI/CD pipelines is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles including firewall management, VPN setup, TCP/IP protocols, Cisco networking equipment, SAN storage solutions, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Python, JavaScript; experience with database management systems like Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle is essential.
  • Ability to lead projects utilizing Agile methodologies; excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement; demonstrated leadership in managing technical teams.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP or CompTIA Security+, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar credentials are preferred.
