Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrician OR an Electrical Apprentice to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical systems and be able to work independently or as part of a team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings, including commercial and petroleum environments. The candidate will ensure that all work complies with local and national electrical codes.

Duties

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using logic controllers and other diagnostic tools.
  • Renovate existing electrical systems to improve efficiency or meet new standards.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors on construction projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and practices while working on job sites.
  • Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Electrician or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety protocols.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics related to electrical installations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Certification or license as required by local regulations is preferred.
  • Experience in the industry is a plus.
