We are a family owned local Heavy Equipment Professionals, specializing in the areas of Lifting, Municipal and Rail Solutions. We have grown to become Saskatoon’s top choice for heavy-duty truck equipment and a leading provider of Fassi knuckle boom solutions. We are looking for outstanding individuals like you to add to our growing force.

About the Opportunity:

NCCHD is currently seeking a 2nd-4th year Apprentice Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic/ Technician for our Saskatoon, Saskatchewan location.

This position is part of our busy Service and Installation Shop and responsible for:

  • Performing maintenance, repairs and testing on our customers’ various types of equipment focusing on truck-mounted cranes and a variety of municipal and rail equipment
  • Completing some minor fabrication work
  • Performing other duties as required
  • Registered Heavy Duty Equipment Technician apprentice
  • Some experience with welding or willingness to assist or learn
  • hydraulic and electrical experience and knowledge
  • Solid mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot problems and read schematics
  • The ability to maneuver in and around heavy equipment
  • Excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team
  • The ability to work independently
  • Your own tools (we also have shop tools)
  • A Class 5 driver’s license
  • Able to work independently
  • Our operating hours are 8:00am-4:30pm. Service truck work and field work required sometimes.
