Full job description

We are looking for a reliable apprentice auto body technician to join our team. We are a family-owned and run business located in the busy Brentwood neighborhood two blocks away from Brentwood mall. Midvan Collision is an ICBC Tier 1 (Top Performer) and I-CAR Gold Class shop.

This role is a 50/50 split. Half of your time will be spent on collision repair, and the other half will involve detailing completed vehicles and keeping shop operations running smoothly. We are currently very busy, so you will receive a steady flow of hands-on repair work to advance your skills alongside your daily shop duties.

Daily Duties:

  • Perform auto body collision repair (disassembly, reassembly, panel replacement, dent repair)
  • Clean, detail, and wash completed vehicles for customer delivery
  • Help open the shop in the morning
  • Move and arrange cars in the shop for other technicians
  • Arrange and organize incoming new parts for active jobs
  • Maintain general shop cleanliness (keeping the floor tidy, dumping garbage)

Perks

  • Family-owned and run business for the past 56 years
  • Busy year round
  • ICBC Tier 1 Accredited
  • Paid time off
  • On-site parking
  • Active support and encouragement to complete your apprenticeship levels and achieve your Red Seal designation
  • Friendly work environment without corporate micromanagement
  • Access to repair a wide variety of vehicles including late-model luxury (BMW, Audi, Mercedes), Teslas, and high-end JDM imports
  • Great location near many restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping
  • Flexible schedule
  • Industry discounts from over 100 wholesale accounts

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of in-shop auto body repair experience. You must be confident in your ability to understand vehicle damage and basic repair procedures
  • Willingness to handle both repair work and general shop/cleaning tasks
  • Highly dependable and reliable (no-shows and blame-shifters are immediate red flags)
  • Good work references
  • Full time employment
  • Your own set of tools
  • Wage of $24 - $28 per hour depending on experience

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
