A Day in the Life

Our Technicians are the backbone of our fleet operations. You will safely operate, repair, and maintain GFL’s commercial diesel and alternative fuel trucks to ensure they are road-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Training: Diagnose and repair complex CNG/diesel engines and advanced hydraulic systems.

  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform PM tasks and safety inspections to keep our fleet running smoothly.

  • Documentation: Track parts usage, account for repair times, and manage work orders.

  • Safety First: Maintain a clean, organized shop environment in compliance with company safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Education: Currently enrolled in or completed a pre-apprenticeship or technical training program.

  • Licensing: Valid Driver’s License is required.

  • Tools: Must provide your own basic tools and have a willingness to acquire more as you progress.
