Overview
We are looking for a skilled Line Cook/ Prep Cook to join our team . The ideal candidate will assist in meal preparation, ensuring food safety standards are m et, and contribute to the smooth operation of our kitchen and restaurant.

Duties:

- Assist in meal preparation and food handling in accordance with established recipes and guidelines.

-Cleaning duties as required in the kitchen

-Dishwashing as required

-Responsible for always maintaining a safe and proper work environment

-Adhere to health and safety standards and regulations

-Put away and organize received orders from vendors

- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food service.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.

- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations.

- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation.

- Support other kitchen staff as needed.

Requirements:

- Prior experience in a similar role within the food industry.

- 1-2 years cooking/ kitchen experience in Retirement/ LTC minimum .

- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.

- Understanding of food safety practices.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong communication skills and team work abilities.

- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.

- Able to lift 10-20lbs
