We are a commercial laundry equipment distributor serving customers throughout Ontario. We specialize in commercial coin laundry and on-premises laundry systems, and we are looking for a dependable, mechanically skilled professional to join our team as a Service Technician / Installer.

You do not need previous commercial laundry experience. We will train you on our equipment, systems and procedures. What matters most is that you know how to troubleshoot, work safely, communicate professionally and take pride in doing the job properly.

This is a hands-on field position involving:

● Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting

● Equipment installation and removal

● Preventative maintenance

● Natural gas equipment

● Customer service

● Independent service calls throughout Ontario

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You will travel to commercial customer locations throughout Ontario to service, repair, maintain, install and commission commercial laundry equipment.

Service & Troubleshooting

● Diagnose mechanical, electrical and operational problems.

● Identify the root cause of equipment failures.

● Repair or replace defective components.

● Troubleshoot motors, pumps, belts, bearings, valves and related mechanical systems.

● Perform electrical testing and troubleshooting.

● Use diagnostic tools, including multimeters.

● Complete preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.

● Test equipment after repairs to confirm safe and proper operation.

● Document completed work accurately and professionally.

Installation & Equipment Removal

● Install commercial washers, dryers and related laundry equipment.

● Remove, relocate and replace existing equipment.

● Assist with equipment positioning, leveling and setup.

● Complete mechanical, electrical, plumbing and gas connections within the scope of your qualifications.

● Test and commission equipment after installation.

● Work independently on routine projects and as part of a team on larger or more complex installations.

Customer Service & Professional Representation

● Communicate clearly and professionally with customers.

● Explain equipment issues, repairs and recommendations when required.

● Complete service reports and related documentation.

● Maintain a professional appearance and attitude while representing Ontario Laundry Systems.

TRAINING & SUPPORT

Commercial laundry experience is not required. We will train you on our equipment.

Your previous trade experience will help you progress quickly, but you will receive hands-on training specific to our products, procedures and service standards.

You will initially work alongside experienced technicians while learning:

● Flatwork ironers

● Equipment installation and removal

● Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

● Gas Technician 2 (G2) certification — required

● Valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence — required

● Clean and responsible driving record

● Strong mechanical aptitude

● Experience using hand and power tools

● Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical equipment

● Ability to work independently after training

● Good communication and customer-service skills

● Ability to safely lift, move and install commercial equipment

● Reliable transportation during the initial training period, if required

● Reliable, punctual and organized work habits

THIS IS A HANDS-ON FIELD CAREER

This position is best suited to someone who enjoys working with equipment, tools and customers rather than sitting behind a desk.

The work involves:

● Lifting and moving commercial laundry equipment and components

● Working with hand and power tools

● Bending, kneeling, reaching and working in confined areas

● Working in laundry rooms, mechanical rooms and commercial facilities

● Installing, removing and relocating commercial equipment

● Travelling to customer locations throughout Ontario

● Working in a variety of commercial environments

Candidates must be physically capable of safely performing the duties of the position.

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS

G2 Gas Technician certification and a valid Ontario Class G driver’s license are required.

Compensation is negotiable based on relevant experience, qualifications, technical ability, certifications and trade skills.

If you are an experienced tradesperson who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing equipment, learning new systems and working independently, we encourage you to apply even if you have never worked on commercial laundry equipment.

We can teach you the laundry equipment. We are looking for someone who already knows how to troubleshoot, work safely and fix things properly.
