We are hiring for a General Maintenance Worker.

JOB OVERVIEW:
The General Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to up hold B-Hpositality’s standards of The Cambridge Hotel & Conference Centre, contributing to a positive lasting experience for guests and staff.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address maintenance needs.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry and basic plumbing.
  • Inspect, clean and maintain all equipment, including but limited to HVAC systems, kitchen appliances and laundry facilities.
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, coordinating with external vendors for repairs when necessary.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and address issues related to plumbing, electrical systems and general facility repairs.
  • Execute minor repairs to furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and take corrective action to prevent hazards.
  • Maintain the exterior of the property, including landscaping, parking areas, and walkways.
  • Perform snow removal, lawn care and other outdoor maintenance tasks.
  • Keep track of maintenance supplies and equipment inventory.
  • Order necessary supplies and coordinate deliveries as needed.
  • Coordinate and communicate with other departments such as housekeeping and front desk to address maintenance issues.
  • Maintain and adhere to a strict preventative maintenance schedule to ensure that all equipment is kept in good working order.
  • Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and be on call 24/7 in the event of an emergency.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time
