About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Building Manager to oversee the operations of a 130-unit apartment building in Duncan, BC.

This is not simply a caretaker role. We are looking for a strong operator who can manage the day-to-day operations of the property, maintain high standards, lead with accountability, and protect the overall performance of the asset.

Core Responsibilities

Building Operations

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the property
  • Conduct regular property inspections and maintain building standards
  • Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and vendor scheduling
  • Ensure common areas and building presentation remain at a high standard
  • Respond to emergencies and urgent operational issues when required

Tenant Relations & Leasing

  • Manage tenant communication professionally and promptly
  • Coordinate move-ins and move-outs
  • Conduct suite showings and support leasing activities
  • Assist with tenant issue resolution and enforcement of building policies
  • Support occupancy and resident retention

Financial & Administrative Oversight

  • Support rent collection and arrears follow-up
  • Coordinate invoices, work orders, and operational documentation
  • Assist with budgeting and expense control
  • Maintain accurate operational records and reporting
  • Work closely with ownership and management team on property performance

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience managing multifamily residential properties
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage vendors, prioritize tasks, and solve problems independently
  • Professional, accountable, and detail-oriented
  • Strong leadership presence and ownership mentality
  • Comfortable using property management software and digital systems
  • Maintenance knowledge and operational experience considered an asset

Compensation

  • $70,000-$75,000 annual salary

You are someone who takes pride in running a property properly. You are proactive, dependable, and capable of handling both operational details and tenant-facing responsibilities professionally.

You understand that strong property management directly impacts resident experience, operational performance, and long-term asset value.
