Assistant Manager – Pet Services Facility

Mississauga, Ontario

Winston And Friendz Inc. is looking for a reliable, professional, and hands-on Assistant Manager to join our growing pet services team. This is a full-time leadership role within a fast-paced environment that includes dog daycare, boarding, grooming, and animal care operations.

We are looking for someone who is mature, dependable, organized, calm under pressure, and experienced in both staff management and client relations.

Requirements:

• University degree required
• Previous supervisory or management experience required
• Must live in or near the Mississauga/Oakville area
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Full-time availability required
• Must be available for:
• Early morning shifts starting at 6:30 AM
• Weekend shifts
• On-call coverage when needed
• Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills
• Must have experience handling client complaints and difficult situations professionally
• Ability to de-escalate tense situations and defuse conflicts calmly and effectively
• Comfortable working in a pet-focused environment with dogs of all sizes and temperaments
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Able to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Position Responsibilities:

• Assisting with day-to-day facility operations
• Supervising staff and ensuring company procedures are followed
• Handling customer concerns, complaints, and service recovery professionally
• Supporting reception and front desk operations
• Assisting with scheduling and shift coordination
• Maintaining cleanliness, safety, and organization throughout the facility
• Supporting animal care teams when needed
• Assisting management with operational oversight and problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in pet services, veterinary clinics, daycare, grooming, hospitality, or retail management
• Experience leading teams and managing client relationships
• Administrative and computer skills preferred
