Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Veterinary Coordinator, where your passion for animal health and exceptional organizational skills will drive our mission to provide outstanding veterinary care. In this vital role, you will coordinate daily operations within the veterinary practice, ensuring smooth communication between staff, clients, and external partners. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for both pets and their owners while supporting the clinical team in delivering top-tier services. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in animal welfare and client satisfaction.

Duties

  • Manage appointment scheduling to optimize client flow and reduce wait times, ensuring a positive experience for pet owners
  • Facilitate effective communication between veterinarians, technicians, clients, and suppliers to coordinate patient care and clinic operations
  • Maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatment plans, and medication inventories with meticulous attention to detail
  • Assist in preparing exam rooms, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring the clinic environment is clean, organized, and welcoming
  • Support laboratory processes by preparing samples, recording results, and ensuring proper documentation of laboratory tests such as blood work or diagnostic imaging (laboratory experience preferred)
  • Coordinate follow-up appointments and client education to promote pet health and wellness
  • Contribute to a lively team environment by participating in staff meetings and ongoing training sessions

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a veterinary or animal care setting is highly desirable
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with clients, team members, and external partners
  • Demonstrated laboratory experience or familiarity with diagnostic procedures is a plus
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and professionalism
  • Proficiency in using veterinary management software or similar systems preferred
  • A proactive attitude with enthusiasm for animal health and client service excellence
